Her German and Caribbean heritage kept her family's kitchen wafting with rich, diverse aromas and strong culinary traditions.  She was further intrigued by a local Amish Farmers Market were she was continually fascinated by the visual, textural, and sensual  abundance of produce and baked goods.  It is no wonder that at the age of 16 she began her culinary career making pastries that were sold at the Amish Market.  Loves early cooking experiences unfolded in a sort of grass roots manner as she worked in Florida and Colorado honing her baking and pastry skills.  She formalized her training at the Colorado Culinary Institute of Art in 1996.  After earning her degree and working as a Pastry Chef at Boulder Colorados prestigious Greenbriar Inn, Love moved back to New York where her passion for the art and beauty of culinary presentation led her to work for several catering companies.  In 2000 Love moved from the catering world to explore the New York fine dining scene in a year long stint at the then popular Northern Italian, Colina.  It was at Colina that Love embraced the simple, vibrant cuisine of the Mediterranean. This experience contributed heavily to her culinary style which embodies freshness, simplicity and beauty in flavor and presentation.  Next Love moved to the Soho Grand Hotel where she was able to combine all of her acquired skills in catering, dining, and pastry.  Her passion for the art and beauty of food has led her to the Union Square Ballroom where she is able to combine her technique and creativity.
